If activism is part of your very core, could you date someone that is totally apathetic to the concept of activism for social change?
Please share you thoughts on dating someone who just doesn't get it, or someone who just 'can't be bothered'.

`Sigh. I cannot imagine the stress and conflict of dating someone who just doesn't get it. But, if they were supportive, and waiting to greet me with hugs, not pacing and being resentful, then maybe it could be workable.
I spend a lot of time bringing information to my neighborhood, and reaching out , and working towards more folks taking action. To have a partner that will not move . . . well he'd have to have some really great other qualities !
"In these times" (as David Rovics calls them) we really cant afford to live with blinders on.
Well, thats no answer ! It leaves it wide open. But I dont think I can have a rule that just applies across the board.
What have the rest of you found out there ?

`I have found there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to relationships...even if one partner is totally apathetic...as long as they do not belittle you or demean your efforts and really care about you and support you as a person...why not enjoy the relationship?

| .I just want someone who shares similar values to me...someone who I don't have to defend myself with after being out in public feeling like everyone is against me. |
