Beyond generality, generally speaking...

I am interested in connecting with other activists who are ACTIVELY trying to change/improve upon/build something beyond complaint and complacency. I am a scholar and would love to connect with others who merge academia and activism. I am also a poet who practices Buddhism and am generally open to communication, so long as it is tactful, intelligent, respectful and sincere. I am an activist, though I tend to prefer research and education to frontlines. Causes I support actively: HIV/AIDS awareness, affordable access to health care, ending discrimination based on sexuality/sexual orientation and gender identity and expression, organic/fair trade/non-toxic and cruelty free products and food and children's health.
